A dental assistant salary pays dental assistants to pull all of the supplies out that the dentist needs for each patient and gets everything set up. This includes laying everything out. Making sure everything was already sterilized for the next patient and checks the patient’s records to make sure you have the correct tools and supplies for what they are having done. You wouldn’t just get out teeth-cleaning tools when the next patient is having a root canal. So it is very important to have the correct tools out. Plus you can answer any questions the patient may have before seeing the dentist. It is nice to be able to answer the patient’s questions and make them feel more comfortable.
